Umm-e-Rumman
Syed is an English Literature Lecturer, researcher, and a published poetess
with a profound dedication to the power of words. Her academic journey includes
an M.Phil. and a B.S. in English Literature and Linguistics from the National
University of Modern Languages, Islamabad, where she now serves as a Visiting
Lecturer.
As
a creative writer, she is the author of the poetry collection “Beautiful
Inadequacies” and a co-author of the anthology “Eccentric Humans.” Her
scholarly work extends to presenting research at international conferences,
including the International European Conference in Zurich, and she is currently
the Principal Investigator for a significant research project on boundaries and
consent, funded by the RASTA Competitive Grants Program.
Her
writing portfolio is diverse, encompassing academic analyses, literary
criticism, blog posts, and social commentary. She explores themes ranging from
postmodernism and feminism to the intricacies of human connection in the
digital age. Umm-e-Rumman’s unique voice bridges the gap between rigorous
academic thought and evocative creative expression, inviting readers to explore
the depths of literature and the human experience.
