vital to acknowledge the fact that Malik Muhammad Miskeen was an essential
component of GB’s stability. Malik Muhammad Miskeen was born and only came out
as a public figure in the 2000s.
He has been detected positive for the Coronavirus. The known
personality peacefully ceased in 2020 and was buried in his native village
Tangir.
He was a source of pride for Diamarian, an influential voice of
the region, the protector of local traditions, and an asset of
Gilgit-Baltistan. Although his 6 decades of political journey ended, his
generous personality, shrewdness, acumen decisions, and peacekeeping missions
will be remembered forever.
Malik‘s political career began with participation in the
Gilgit-Baltistan Consultative Council elections on December 30, 1970. He was
elected as a member of Dariel Tangir and retained this position four times.
On October 12, 2004, Malik Maskin won the GBLA election and became the Speaker
of the Assembly.
Malik was a successful politician and an excellent (Jirgadar), and his role in restoring peace was exemplary. His political career is now led by his successor Malik Kifayat, a prominent law graduate.
