ESSAY: SNC can change the fate of the educational system of Pakistan

Outline

1.     Introduction

a)     What is education and why is it important for everyone?

b)    Education can bring happiness 

c)     SNC is the need of time for the shaky structure of education

2.     SNC purposes and implications

a)     One system of education for all is an attempt to diminish the class differences in terms of curriculum

b)    To create equal opportunities for all to grow

c)     To bring harmony and unity

d)    Syllabus up-gradation was the voice of everyone

e)     To bring religious seminaries in streamline

3.     Hurdles and challenges in implementation

a)     Private schools are not ready to launch it because of the inclusion of Islamiat and social studies for primary levels

b)    Content is lacking with a harmony between the pedagogy and learning of students and primarily focusing on content on tests and examinations.

c)     Madrassas would not implement this SNC and will keep following their own agendas.

d)    Provinces are not bound to implement it. It’s a choice and choice cannot bring equality. 

e)     SNC failed to give proportionate weightage to female’s role in society

4.     The current state of SNC, success, and failure; a cursory look on it.

5.     Recommendations

It can change the fate of the educational system of Pakistan if;

a)     Implement without exceptions in all provinces including Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan

b)    Get in confidence the major public, major stakeholders, religious scholars, and educational experts to make it acceptable for all. 

c)     It should be practice-oriented instead of verbal memorization

d)    By following Finland and England’s national curriculum model it can be modified.
