Life is never the same for anyone; good moments don’t last longer than the sad ones. Life…. more like a deformed line on a graph that goes up and down in an instance. Some days are like the warm winter sun, as the unexpected rainbow after a rainy day. These are the days in which you feel like the world’s happiest person whereas the other ones feel like days feel like harsh winters which leave with us an urge to run away from the world or hibernate as the polar bears do. However, that's probably not an option humans have. We may stop and rest for a day or two or perhaps for weeks but eventually, we have to show up because that is what life is all about and you shall keep on fighting.

We can take inspiration from Vivian Green as she quoted, “Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning how to dance in the rain." In accordance with this, these changes don’t enter your life to disturb your thought process or emotions rather transitions are meant to help you learn the art of acceptance. It is a very natural thing to develop a disliking for shifts that occur in life because they come unwelcomed and all of a sudden like uninvited guests on a busy day or like the harsh winters just a moment after we saw sun rays hitting our windows. Everything aside, changes and shifts in life aren’t easy things as you need to have a lot of courage to fight away difficulties you see coming your way.

Famous authors have published books on various such topics that help you learn the art of acceptance. In addition to this psychologists have researched it as well so people realize its importance and also can master this phenomenon of acceptance to live a peaceful life. Let's take an example to learn more about this now. For example, there is this young boy in his teenage years who is the most intelligent student in his class in the whole school and everybody is sure of his success when it comes to getting admission into the best universities out there. When the time arrives, he applies to all the well-known universities with high standards which think are best for him. This was because he had self-confidence but here is when his tough journey started. It was when he doesn’t succeed in the process, maybe because of personal reasons e.g. a few days before the college entrance exam he fell ill and could not study well. Now that's a transition for him and this should be the time he realizes that there’s no other option than to accept what has happened and try harder because you can't just sit there wounded. You’re responsible for curing your wounds!  You have to get up, dust yourself off and get ready to face everything, every single obstacle.

To learn this art one key is to be confident and to believe in yourself. The world can never tell you something that you can tell yourself! Believe in the fact that whatever happens, happens for your own good and no one can change your fate except YOU. So what are you waiting for? Even if you had a big loss, there’s so much more waiting for you out there. Learning the art of acceptance can help you move on in life. Once you learn the art of acceptance, no burden is heavy enough to weigh you down. The harsh winter will still feel harsh and your soul will still crave the warm winter sun but you will no longer sit alone with anxiety bothering about the uncertainties of life. Instead, you will have the courage to let go of things or face them, just like a soldier! That's how we create our peace.

Let's defeat the worries and sorrows by learning the art of acceptance and lending a helping hand to others! Take good care of yourself. I hope this article was helpful!
