How to Become a Plant Parent Easily?

0

Many people often think caring for plants is a huge deal when it's not. You can also be a plant parent by putting in minimal effort. There is no need to fret; this is not a job you must have by keeping your health and energy at risk. The basic definition of a hobby is something that would help you relax and leave you content; without contentment, nothing is useful. Here are some easy ways to become a plant parent quickly.

Choose the Plants That Need Less Care

When God created humans, he knew they would get tired very quickly. People get bored of things rapidly; even the seemingly exciting things, in the beginning, become dull after some time. That's the nature of human beings. Thankfully, God has made plants that won't make you feel bored due to taking their care all the time.

Some plants thrive well with very little care. These are the plants that you need to get ASAP.

SUCCULENTS

Succulents are plants that store water inside them, so they don't need water now and then.

You can water them once in two weeks, and they can thrive well; that's the beauty of succulents. They are your babies, but you are not their full-time mom or dad.

They are great for people who fear responsibility. Succulents have leaves that are super thick, fleshy, and watery; they originate from dry climatic regions like deserts.

They can work as both indoor and outdoor plants.

JADE

The Jade plant, scientifically known as CRASSULA OVATA, is one of the most beloved succulents, mainly due to its evergreen and aesthetic appearance. They are green and cute; green color is known to cool the human eyes and leave a soothing impact on human beings; one of the reasons why God put so much green inside the world is so human beings could always turn back to nature and relax.

Jade needs light; keep it in sunlight for some time during the day; usually, 3-4 hours is good.

Summer and spring seasons are the growing seasons; make sure to water them well during that time. Water them entirely once a week in this season.

During winters, give your CRASSULA OVATA, aka Jade, a good amount of light and water them well once every two weeks.

ZEBRA HAWORTHIA

Zebra Haworthia, scientifically known as HAWORTHIOPSIS FASCIATA, older name HAWORTHIA FASCIATA, belongs to South Africa, a land of natural resources and diverse cultures. Its aloe-like appearance makes it super cute, and spikes add an element of uniqueness to this succulent.

It needs balanced light, not too much shade or direct sunlight.

Like almost every other succulent, it needs water every week in summer and once in 2 weeks during the chilly season.

Normal temperature suits it, and fertilizer during the vegetative stage would be helpful, too.

MONEY PLANT

The money plant, also known as DEVIL'S IVY, is scientifically called EPIPREMNUM AUREUM. It originated from the French Polynesian Islands and has spread worldwide due to its vibrant green appearance and fast growth. If you are looking for low-maintenance plants, Devil's Ivy or the Money Plant is a great match.

It must be watered thoroughly every week in summer and once a fortnight during the cold winters. Plants need less water in Winter because their transpiration and absorption rates are reduced.

This plant needs light every day, but this light should be both bright and indirect. Ultimately, it all comes down to where you place your money plant. The position is critical.
