We often observed the change in human lifestyle. By adoption of the modern world trends science and technology excelled and human lives glorified. On the other hand, global warming is the result of human activities that are carried out to comfort human lives. What causes Global warming? How it is affecting our lives and what role we can play to make environmental standards better are the central points to focus on.

What is Global Warming?

The increase in temperature or warming of the earth for a longer period is because of burning fossil fuels. It prevents the heat from escaping the earth’s atmosphere. This is known as Global warming. The pollutants include carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, methane. Moreover, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, ozone are also referred to as greenhouse gases. (Johansson, 2021) (Society, 2019)

Causes of Global warming

Urban lifestyle provides many benefits to the people. On the other hand, the increase of population in cities has also increased. It increases the burning of fossil fuels. Air pollutants contaminate the air quality which has adverse effects on human health. High temperature gives rise to allergens. An increase in harmful air pollutants makes the air less healthy to breathe in. For instance, the longer duration of the warm season also extends the pollen season. It is noticed that carbon dioxide is the top contributor to Global warming. Other than that, black carbon and methane come second to produce dangerous health problems. (Studies, 2019)

Effects of Global Warming

Global warming is destroying the quality of air in which we are breathing. Ozone formation produces more health risks. It includes diseases such as asthma and cancer. (Fann, 2016). Moreover, smoke from large fires increases acute respiratory problems and cardiovascular diseases. Lung illness is not the only health issue; it also gives rise to drought conditions. (Noor Kartika Hassan, 2015) (Association, 2015). Allergic reactions in many individuals are increasing day by day as we are burning more fossil fuels. Strokes, heart diseases, and lung cancers are the results of the increase in greenhouse gases.

Bronchiolitis is a very harmful disease that even caused death in a lot of cases. It is becoming common due to the extra burning of fossil fuels. Furthermore, the central nervous system's improper functioning and cutaneous diseases are also killing people around the globe due to Global warming.

Other causes of Global Warming

Deforestation is another cause for the increase in Carbon dioxide. Trees are used to make accessories of comfort for humans.  According to a World Health Organization report, 1.8 billion children breathe in polluted air which brings their health at serious risk. WHO also measured that in 2016. The cause of death for 600,000 children is due to acute lower respiratory infections. The reason was the polluted air. (Nations, 2020)

Remedies to limit Global warming

Global warming can be reduced by adopting some collective measures. This can be done by using energy-efficient tools. Also, by developing habits like turning off the appliances When they are not in use. One of the solutions is also to use renewable energy. For example, using water and geothermal. Moreover, solar energy can be used to replace fossil fuels. (Agency, 2019)

Using eco-friendly transport vehicles is also important. The use of electricity or hydrogen in vehicles can be a positive step. It can be an effective step towards reducing Global warming. Lastly, planting more trees in the world can improve health conditions. It reduces air pollution which lowers the rate of Global warming. This is how everyone can play his part in promoting a healthy environment. (Foundation, 2021)
