The relationship between Iran and America has seen many ups and
downs. The conflict rose to such an extent that at any time a full-fledged war can
be predicted in the region after killing Qasim Suleimani (Major General of Quds
Force of Iran) on 3 January 2020. Iran’s attack on American’s two Airbases in
Iraq and the killing of 80 people today fuel the escalation. Who will win the
war is a big question to the outsider. Which countries support Iran? Are American Aliens ready to support? What will be the role of Russia in this
context? The neighbor Atomic Islamic country Pakistan’s role and China’s
monopoly in the region matter a lot or not?
Let’s look at an eye bird of view on the geopolitical importance of Iran
and its role in the production of oil.
The Islamic Republic of Iran is a country in Western Asia,
having 523,000 army personnel, ranked 18th in the world. With 636,372 sq. mi
considered the 17th largest country in the world. That means that its territory
is larger than the combined territories of France, Germany, the Netherlands,
Belgium, Spain, and Portugal — Western Europe. A survey was conducted in 2004
which showed that Iran produced 5.1 percent of the world's total crude oil (3.9
million barrels (620,000 m3) per day), which generated revenues of US$25
billion to US$30 billion. Longest range missile Iran has ever is 2,000 km.
Comparatively, Iran’s Army stands 14th in the world according to Global
Firepower's 2019.
While on the other hand, America has the world's most
powerful army allocating 610 billion dollars every year. 1281900 active
personnel, 12304 air fighters, and 4.746 (trillion $) federal budgets make America the most
powerful in the world. Comparison between America and Iran according to the
aforesaid mentioned information is really funny. If the full-fledged war is
broke out between them, then the match is never being limited to these two
countries. Many countries behind the screen are very fondling of war which
escalates the tension more. On the one hand, Russia interferes with every
single point where America gets an entry. It is widely accepted that America
was interested in the Middle East due to many reasons. The Middle East is
important because it is the cradle of three major religions: Judaism. According
to its believers: Israel is the Promised Land and Jerusalem its capital. They
ruthlessly act against anyone who stands between them and God's promises.
Iran's long border with America's Cold War rival, the Soviet Union, and its
position as the largest, most powerful country in the oil-rich Persian Gulf,
made Iran a "pillar" of US foreign policy in the Middle East.
